When getting a sun tan why dont people seem to bother about getting moles/freckles?

you know how most people want to and aim to get a sun tan? Well are they not bothered about getting those horrible moles/freckles? I know a lot of people have them anyway but sun tanning can result in more... i often wonder why people dont think of this? Yes you get a nice tan but sun expose can cause discolouration like moles.
