Why does my mother makes a big fuss about me not celebrating my birthday?

Because not only is your birthday a special day for you, it also marks the anniversary of when your mother had you. Being a mother myself I know how she feels. Celebrating my daughters birthdays is a big deal for me because I reminds me of the first time I ever got to hold her in my arms as well as when I got to see her take her first breath. So quit being so self-centered and allow your mother to celebrate your birthday! Is it really too much to ask?
