My grandmother had the infant murder trial on while my 3yo and I were at her house?

I got very upset and said it wasn't apropriate and asked her to turn it off. I don't want my toddler exposed to this or to even know that kind of tragic thing happens yet. Grandma got mad at me said they weren't saying anthing bad... Blah blah. Am I over reacting or what? What should I say to her the next time I see her. I'm so mad I don't even want to take my kid over there any more but I know they both would be sad if I didn't.
